I’m a Luberon local. Is there a tuition-only option?

Yes. There is a tuition-only option available for the full retreat, as space allows. It assumes full participation, and includes the full retreat program and all meals. For this option, pricing is $2595. To register, click on of the big BOOK button on this page, or here.

What’s the cancellation policy?

There's a 495$ Administration Fee which is non-refundable. But if you change your mind before June 30th, you will get a refund for all the payments you've made minus the Administration Fee. After you have paid for the workshop and from July 1st, should you have to cancel for any reason, we will exercise our best efforts to find a qualified writer to replace you. If we can do so, we will refund your tuition. If we cannot replace you, we will not refund your tuition payment. The later the cancellation date, the more difficult it is for staff to find a qualified participant. We recognize that emergencies do happen and we will do our best to help you. But we cannot guarantee that we will be able to replace you in the event of a cancellation.

How many participants do you accept at the Retreat?

We work on delivering an experience that is intimate, with enough time for quality interaction and support. We are making only 20 spots, with a minimum of 12.

What happen if there are less then 12 participants?

The Cagibi Retreat would be cancelled and every participant will receive a complete refund of all the money they paid. Participant will know by the end of May if the Workshop should be cancelled.

How many days will I need to take off?

We’ve found that the sweet spot for this retreat is 7 nights. You will need to take off 7 days for the retreat and 2 days for traveling on either side, for a total of nine days minimum. If you are new to this piece of paradise, you will want to explore Aix en Provence, Avignon, the Riviera Coast and all the charming hilltop towns nearby (before and/or after the retreat), so keep that in mind. You can also easily combine this retreat with Paris or other European destinations.

How much does it cost per person?

Pricing varies on your accommodation selection. Please see Registration section for price details. NOTE: The cost is the same even if someone is not participating in the writing portion of the trip.

Do I need to put a deposit down to secure my reservation?

Yes. Once registration opens, you may secure your spot with a $495 non-refundable deposit as part of your registration. And according to your room selection, you will have to pay 50% of the Workshop Fees. You may do this by clicking on your accommodation selection.

Should I plan to spend the night in Marseille before pick-up day?

Yes. That’s always a safe bet. The courtesy shuttle to the Villa leaves two times on Sunday in the  afternoon. It will leave from Marseille Airport and Aix-en-Provence TGV Railway Station.  The date and time are posted in the Particulars section.

For those traveling a long way, we encourage you to arrive in France several days earlier to help you adjust and get over the jet lag, as well as give you time to warm up to a new culture.

Can I get a direct flight to Marseille from the US?

No, most airlines will have you connect to a major European city like Paris, Frankfurt, London or Barcelona. You can buy a ticket from US cities to Marseille, but you will have to transfer in a major city. Please refer to our Particulars section for more travel tips.

Can I rent a car instead and drive myself to the villa?

Yes. However once at the retreat, you will not need a car. If you are staying in Marseille, Avignon or Aix-en-Provence before or after the retreat, a car could be useful to travel around. But it is not necessary.  Renting a car for personal use is entirely up to you depending on what you plan to do before or after the retreat.

Can I extend my stay beyond the retreat?

No, it is not possible to stay at the Villa beyond our retreat dates.

I still have a few questions. Can I talk to someone?

Absolutely! We love hearing from potential participants and answering any questions you may have to see whether or not our retreats are right for you. Feel free to contact us.
